Starting your Own Blog is Better

With many residual writing sites (Daily Two Cents is one example) on the web, it is safe to say, that residual writing is a popular way to earn money. However, I beleive that it is better to set up your own blog. Below, you will find the reasons I like having my own blog.

1. Rules
All residual writing sites have rules that writers must follow. If you break one rules, your content may be taken down. On the other hand, you can create your own blog and create your own rules. There is still a high level integrity that you must follow, but they will be your rules.

2. Closing Down
Many residual writing sites close down, some do not give the writers any notice. Running your own site, you do decide if you want to continue running your blog or not.

3. Add Custom Products
If you have an account with sites like Zazzle or Society, you can add them to your blog. Some residual writing sites do not allow you to add custom products to your account.

4. Free
For the most part, you can create a free account with sites like Blogger, Wix, Weebly, and WordPress. If you would like a custom domain, a small fee is required.

5. Monetization
Residual writing sites have a monetization program in place. With that being said, you can try several monetization programs until you find one that you like.

In closing, I personally believe that running your on blog or website is the best option. Feel free to good free webhosting sites and monetization programs.

This tips piggybacks off of the first tip. In addition, to posting regularly, your content must be quality content. To make sure your content is presentable for your audience, you can use online proofreading software, Grammarly and PaperRater are two popular proofreading sites on the internet.

3. Add Pictures
If you want to make your blog stand-out, you can add pictures. With that being said, you can use Pixabay and other free online sources to get pictures for your blog. When using sites like Pixabay it is best to give Pixabay a photo credit.
