Mylot differs from Chatabout because the site shares users location. The good things is you will know where the person you are chatting with are from. On the other hand, you might not want your location exposed. Last but not least, both sites accept users outside the United States.
Earnings
Chatabout pays their users in points that can be redeemed for cash and prizes. Mylot has a point system but also give users a dolllar amount that is updated every hour. On Mylot, it seems like longer comments are rewarded with a higher monetary amount.
Navigation
It is safe to say that Chatabout is easier to navigate. The site has several different sections for users to comment in at the top of the page. These sections can be accessed for every page on the website. Mylot users have to click the explore button to get to the newer topics.
Payout Thershold
This maybe the biggest disadvantage for Mylot, Chatabout, has a lower payout threshold. To request a payment from Chatabout, you will need 10000 points ($5); Mylot users can cashout at $10.
