It is only fitting, that I mentioned blogging first, due to the fact that you are reading a blog. If it was not for the internet, blogging would not be a profession and millions or people would not be able to earn a living online.
Freelance Writing
Before the internet, freelance writers had to submit articles to newspapers and other publications. Now that the internet has come alone, many writers can submit articles to a multitude of sites.

If you aspire to be a published author, you can thank companies similar to Amazon Kindle and Createspace for allowing novelist to self-published. If you do not want to do traditional publishing, you can now write your novel, and find your own editor, and market and promote your book yourself.

Social Media
Now that social media has come along, many people are making a living promoting companies and their products online. Many celebrities have cashed in on the ability to make money by promoting companies on popular social media sites like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. However, celebrities are not the only people with the ability to do this, the average individual can sign up for sites similar to Mylikes and Sponsored Tweets and begin making extra money themselves.

Online Stores
If you wanted to create your own business before the internet, you had to rent a store front or become a salesperson at a fleet market. Now that EBay and Amazon exist, you can create an account and begin selling your original products.

In closing, the internet plays a huge role in who people in the modern world live their life. If the internet was banned today, it is safe to say that your professional life may change. Join in on the discussion, comment below if your professional life would change if the internet was banned today.

As a blogger in the work from home nice, it would be odd if I did not earn money online, outside of my blog. With that being said, I have earned money online as a freelancer. If you would like to read my work from home story.

Textbroker was the first site to pay me online. I joined the site in 2013 and made around $500 since joining the site. I no longer write for that sites because I do not have a passion for content mill writing.

Daily Two Cents
I joined DTC in the summer of 2014. My articles have earned me around $25. When I first joined Daily Two Cents, I was getting decent pageviews, but for some unknown reason, monthly pageviews started to lower and lower. I do not write for the site anymore, because I like the idea of creating my own website and monetizing my own content.

Bubblews is a site that many people hate and many people love. It took me over a year to get my first payment after signing up for the site. With that being said, I have only recieved on payment. I never received my second payment. I have abandon that site as well. I tried writing for them again,  but I cannot take the earning model and the long period of time it takes to cashout.

I have earned $15 on Chatabout. My earnings is low because I do not give the site much of my time. I found myself focusing more on Chatabout and on things that can produce a decent income.

Adme is a lockscreen app that I have recieved two payments from. To be precise, I have earned $20 since July 3, 2015.

Things to Know When Working Online

This is the most important tip that any freelancer should follow. By doing this, work from home individuals can identify scam sites, which will prevent you from working hard on a site and not getting paid. In addition, freelancers can identify what sites they like best.

Set a Schedule
When working from home, one could easily get distracted. With that being said, create a schedule. Sitting down and writing out the days and time you want to freelance.

Tax Information
That's right, you are still required to pay taxes. If you are a freelancer and earn $600 or more in a calendar year (United States) you are required to pay taxes. Many freelance sites require freelancers to submit a w-9 tax form, which is required by law.

Define What Freelancing means to you
This is another important tip. This tip is important because, freelancers can define if freelancing will be a full-time job, part time job, or an opportunity that earns pocket change.

You Have to Start from the Bottom
Working from home, is no different than working on any other job. Freelancers will have to prove themselves and make a name for themselves like every other working adult. To be precise, this means working for low pay until you make a good name for yourself.

Must be Tech Savvy
If you want to be a freelancer, you will need decent technology. It is best to have a decent tablet and/or computer. Furthermore, you will need an internet connection. If you do not have an internet connection at home, you try your public library, most public libraries have free Wi-Fi.

In closing, freelancing is not for everyone. Freelancers must have discipline and be self-motivated people.
